Hi everybody,  I just want to inform you that I had a great weekend in Lithuanian's capital Vilnius. I was there at invitation of Algirdas Klova and the Lithuanian Bluegrass Music Association to take part at "Vilnius Bluegrass". I introduced my new program "The Singing Banjoman".
On Friday night I was part of a live performance of a folklore show in the Lithuanian TV and on Saturday I gave a workshop and played at the festival. If you want to see photos of the festival, please go to: [this link] |

Dear Bluegrass friends! Just a short note to inform you about a nice festival and good initiative in far away Lithuania. Freshly awarded 2006 EWOB European Bluegrass Pioneer and well known Bluegrass musician, fiddler, band leader and organiser Algirdas Klova, together with "Muzikonas" organises his 2nd annual International Bluegrass Music festival in Vilnius, the capitol of Lithuania. The festival will be held on friday and saturday the 17th and 18th of November. Several European Bluegrass bands and musicians from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, France, The Netherlands and Baltic countries will pick and sing in several venues all over the beautiful city of Vilnius and spread this great music which is still quite unknown in this part of Europe. |
